The 3rd edition of six-months professional internship program in the local government for 120 females’ university flesh graduates was Launched.
On Aug 31, 2022, Mr. Silas NGAYABOSHYA a Director General for Gender Promotion and Women Empowerment Directorate partaken in the induction session and Launch ceremony of the 3rd edition of six-months professional internship program in the local government for female university flesh graduates in order to mentor and prepare a critical mass of capable female agents of change in local Government.
The government of Rwanda is committed to achieve the sustainable development Goals particularly SDGs 5 (Achieve Gender Equality). In order to mentor and prepare a critical mass of capable female agents of change in local Government; RALGA in collaboration with MIGEPROF Organized a third edition of six-moth professional internship program in local Governments. The initiative is financially financed by UNWOMEN and targets young female fresh university graduates. The program started in August 2022 and it shall end in February 2023.

The Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion secured a funds to support victims through Isange One Stop Centers services.
On 01st September 2022 at Karongo District, Mrs. Mireille BATAMULIZA a Permanent Secretary officiated the workshop that is took place in all provinces with Districts representatives & Hospitals to deepen the reflections around the utilization of the Isange One Stop Centers services (IOSCs) funds and clarify the roles and responsibilities of the actors involved in the reintegration of GBV victims.
It is a workshop that provide guidance to major actors directly involved in the reintegration of GBV victims and in running IOSCs on efficiently and effectively use the financial support allocated for covering medical and non-medical services to GBV and CA victims through IOSC.
The Government of Rwanda established IOSC to provide 24/7 holistic services to GBV victims & child abuse for free of charge for a timely prevention and response. This model is currently operational in 44 District Hospitals and the basic services have been decentralized in Health Center
