Minister Uwamariya Valentine urged policewomen for more involvement in addressing gender equality challenges
On September 27th 2023, Minister Uwamariya Valentine attended the 12th Women Police Convention which was organized by Rwanda National Police under the theme of “breaking barriers towards gender equality in professional policing”
Message:
Minister Uwamariya emphasized on the importance of the forum, saying that it is a good way to build the capacity building of young policewomen to improve their work, to strive for excellence, and to improve their performance and reinforce their involvement in finding solutions to issues that threaten gender equality.

Family Promotion and GBV Prevention subcluster urged to foster collaboration to address family issues
On September,26th 2023, PS Mireille Batamuliza chaired chaired the Quarter 1 Family Promotion and GBV Prevention subcluster that discussed the engagement of stakeholders on preparations of the International Day of the Girl Child and the 16 days of activism campaign, alongside to train members on planning & reporting mapping system.

Family promotion and GBV prevention and response subcluster is a platform that brings together Civil Society, Faith Based & Community Based organisations working in the sector to discuss opportunities, approaches & challenges aiming at strengthening the joint planning and reporting.

This Friday 29th, September 2023, Honorable Minister D Uwamariya Valentine received in a courtesy Her Excellency Einat Weiss, the new Ambassador of the State of Israel to Rwanda.

IPRCs reached for gender equality
On Wednesday and Friday of this week, MIGEPROF continued in IPRC Kitabi, Karongi and Ngoma, the gender dialogues targeting higher learning institutions talks aimed at raising awareness of the students, lecturers and staff about the principle of gender equality, women empowerment and fighting gender based violence
Overall objectives
These dialogues are designed to improve gender equality and equity in various sectors while increasing women’s access to economic opportunities and ensuring that women and men are free from any form of gender-based violence and discrimination.
