Hon. Minister Bayisenge Jeannette applauded the private sector for their role in promoting gender equality.

On December 14 2022 Hon. Minister Bayisenge Jeannette participated in a breakfast meeting on Promoting Gender Accountability in the Private Sector in Rwanda. It was organized by PSF_Rwanda and Gender Monitor Office in partnership with UNDP_Rwanda and UNWomen_Rwanda.

The Breakfast meeting aims at sharing experiences and strategise on how to promote gender equality and accountability within the private sector and PSF clusters.

In her remarks, Minister Bayisenge Jeannette applauded the private sector for their commitments and achievements so far registered in promoting gender equality within their sectors, which also contributed in positioning Rwanda at the top on international scene.

Rwanda's Generation Equality Forum (GEF) Commitments stakeholders kicks off Bi-annual reflection day.

On December 13 2022, the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Gender and family Promotion Batamuliza Mireille joins Rwanda's Generation Equality Forum commitments stakeholders to officiate Generation Equality Forum (GEF) Bi-annual reflection day to advance Rwanda’s GEF Commitments by the theme: Action Coalition: Technology & Innovation for Gender Equality.

in her opening remarks she highlights on the Government of Rwanda's choice to join the action coalition on tech & innovation for gender equality which result to the solutions of Gender based Violence, economic justice &rights, bodily autonomy & sexual reproductive health & rights.

"Our commitment for gender equality in technology & innovation come to compliment a lot of efforts made in line of other international commitment geared toward empowering women in area of technology & innovation like HeForShe & Africa Smart women & Girl’s declaration." She added

Generation Equality Forum (GEF) is an international platform that seeks to mobilize diverse stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of the gender equality commitments especially by filling the gender digital gaps.

MIGEPROF received a delegation from the Republic of Sierra Leone for study tours.

On December 14 2022, the Ministry of Gender and family Promotion received a delegation from the Republic of Sierra Leone lead by Honorable deputy Minister Bangura Shekhu for benchmarking on policies, strategies and procedures to promote Gender equality & women empowerment in all sectors as well as mainstreaming of Gender budgeting mechanism in planning framework. The team is on study tour organized by Rwanda Cooperation.

During their visits, MIGEPROF shares the presentation on policies, strategies, and procedures to promote gender equality and women empowerment in all sectors and at all level including human capital development, productive and economic resources and equal status under the low as well as the mainstreaming of gender budgeting mechanism in all national planning framework.
