National dialogue on teenage pregnancy kicked off as part of National Gender and Family Cluster (NGFC).
On 31st March 2022, Permanent Secretary at MIGEPROF S Mireille Batamuliza officiates the National dialogue on teenage pregnancy, prevention and response, as part of National Gender and Family Cluster (NGFC) organized in collaboration with Plan International Rwanda.
Key Objectives: The NGFC has four sub-clusters aims to strengthen coordination mechanisms to support the Gender Machinery institutions to promote Gender Equality, Family Promotion, and Child Rights Promotion and Protection
General Discussion: The sub-cluster stakeholders shared knowledge & information on how to prevent and end teenage pregnancy with tangible strategies and cooperation drives to relevant actions and policy related to family promotion, GBV prevention and response and child development and protection.
Key Information: The NGFC has four sub-clusters namely (1) Gender Equality and Women Empowerment; (2) Family and GBV Prevention and response; (3) Child Rights Protection and (4) Early Childhood Development (ECD). At national level, the National Gender and Family Cluster Steering Committee meets on semester basis to provide overall political and policy direction for the Gender and Family Cluster and the four Sub-clusters as the main technical forums for cooperation, meet on quarterly basis to discuss on joint goals and targets, and to drive relevant actions and policy related to Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, family promotion, GBV prevention and response and child development and protection.

10 Private and Public institutions that have made significant progress to bridge gender gaps are certified.
On 30th March 2023, Minister Bayisenge Jeannette participates in second certification of 10 institutions that have made significant progress to bridge gender gaps as well as recognize the fourth cohort of 2 private companies which completed their gender equality diagnosis exercise and developed their gender equality action plans as a commitment to close gender gaps.
Key information on Gender equality seal (GES): Gender equality seal (GES) is a program organized by Gender Monitoring office in collaboration with UNDP_Rwanda & UNWOMENRWANDA in the framework of promoting gender accountability in public & private sectors.
Key message: In her remarks, Minister reminded that gender mainstreaming is not just a matter of social justice and equality, but also a smart business strategy that can help companies to improve their efficiency, effectiveness, and bottom line.
"Gender mainstreaming in the private sectors is essential step towards building equitable & efficient workplace. When companies consider the needs of all genders in their policies, practices & decision-making, they unlock a full potential of their workforce." She added

Minister Bayisenge at Gisagara and Huye District for two days working visit.
From March 29, 2023, the Honorable Minister made a working visit to the Southern Province. During the 2-day visit, the Minister visited various activities located in Gisagara and Huye District.
Visited Activities: On March 29, 2023, the Minister visited the "Cultural School" (Ishuri ry’Umuco) in Ruhangayi village, Sabusaro Cell, Kansi Sector that was established to help the youth and parents to learn the values and taboos of Rwandan culture. The minister also visited the world vision activities in the Simbi sector which were built in colaboration with Huye District. These activities include three pipelines that cost 2,757,023,228 Frw were built. It will provide clean water to 53,996 people through: Sovu-Mbazi water Supply System, Mbazi - Simbi Water Supply System.
Other activities that marked the visit: In order to continue celebrating the International Women's Day, the National Council of Women, in collaboration with Action Aid, agreed to support about 50 needy families and receive tins as shown by the Sector Management. Therefore, Action Aid agreed to give 1,205 tins to 50 needy families.
Activities marked second day of the Visit: On March 30, 2023, the Minister chaired a coordination meeting of southern province that aimed at looking at the image of the Family in the Southern Province. This conference brings together the CSOs representatives, religious representatives and other stakeholders to jointly examine the problems that threaten the community including the increase of number of teenage pregnancies, malnutrition, family conflicts and others
