Congratulations Honourable Inyumba! The Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Hon. Aloisea Inyumba has won the ‘Women have Wings Courage Award’. Two other female activists will receive the award along with Hon. Inyumba; Virisila Buadromo from Fiji and Chi Yvonne Leina from Cameroon. This year’s award is the inaugural award that will be given annually and will go to outstanding women from around the world living the courageous spirit of Amelia Earhart. The 7th National Children’s Summit – Brief Overview

The 7th National Summit held on 4th January 2012 at the Parliament Building was completed successfully with a total attendance of about 800 people including 550 child delegates and over 200 government officials. Among the children present were representatives of children from refugee camps, orphanages and disabled children. Rwanda Women Leaders Network Launch

The Rwanda Women Leaders Network was launched on Saturday 17th December 2011 at a dinner hosted by the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion and the One UN Rwanda. It was attended by about 250 women leaders from government sectors, private organizations, civil society, the media and Rwandan women from the diaspora.
