On Thursday 17th, September 2009, the Vice-Mayor of Kigali City, Jeanne d’Arc GAKUBA, officially closed the Solidarity Camp of Women sex workers, beggars and street vendors which has been taking place at Red Cross (CRR) Kacyiru since 8th September 2009.

MIGEPROF TO PROMOTE MUSHROOMS IN BWEYEYE SECTOR!

MIGEPROF take the lead in promoting the family, the fight against malnutrition, and growing the economy at Bweyeye in Rusizi District through Mushrooms.

From 30 August to 3 September 2009, at Bweyeye Sector in Rusizi District, MIGEPROF organized training of poor people and those in needs about mushrooms. 59 people, including 32 women, 27 men and 2 police representatives, learned about the different types of mushrooms, the nutritional benefits of mushrooms, and how to how to cultivate mushrooms. They were also taught how the facilities for mushroom cultivation are built, and how to properly prepare the mushrooms for consumption.

This call was made during the Solidarity Camp for 250 former Women Sex Workers and Beggars which is taking place at Red Cross and was officially opened by Honorable Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Dr Jeanne d’Arc MUJAWAMARIYA, this Tuesday, September 8, 2009.
