Let me take this opportunity to welcome you to visit the Government of Rwanda, Gender and Family website, which we believe will offer an invaluable source of information on gender, family and children.
The purpose of this website is among other things, to inform the Rwandan public, and development partners on development within the realm of gender equality family promotion and children rights advancement.
MIGEPROF as the lead government institution in the policy formulation & orientation, coordination and harmonization of policy implementation on gender, family and children issues. Therefore, we would like to present the achievements since the June 2003 Constitution.
The Ministry website provides an opportunity to showcase the major achievements, Rwanda is making in the core areas of gender equality and equity, family promotion and protection of children rights. Bridging the information gap is critically important for policy implementers and advocates.
MIGEPROF will be pleased to receive feedback from its esteemed clients on the nature and scope of information that the website should provide for further dissemination and use as we strive to contribute towards the building of a prosperous and just society for all Rwandans.
