Wednesday, 24^th June 2010, at MINAFFET, women Ministers and Parliamentarians met and discussed how they can set up a network in which they will share information and discuss issues related to Gender and women empowerment.

Chaired by Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Dr Jeanne d’Arc MUJAWAMARIYA, the meeting was discussing the way this consultative Forum can be operational, what will be its role, mission and focus.

The idea as expressed by different participants is to have a space where they can talk and discuss issues such as Poverty that still  has female face and how to alleviate it; it will also be a platform where they can find solution for various national concerns.

The network will be a place where the Legislative and Executive can meet and discuss the development of the country in general and women’s issues in particular.
