In accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Art.1) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (Art.2), Law N° 27/2001 of 28/04/2001 relating to rights and protection of the child against violence, in its Article 1, a child is “anybody aged below eighteen (18) years with the exception of what is provided for in other laws.” |
